Breakfast in Niche Hotel Athens
Restaurant/places to eat in Niche Hotel Athens
Restaurant/places to eat in Niche Hotel Athens
This hotel is superbly located. 7/8 min walk to the acropolis ticket booth, 3 min walk to the Acropolis metro station-which is easily accessed from Athens airport for 9 euros which I would strongly advise as a taxi will cost you 60 euros. 3 minute walk to beautiful restaurants and 10 minute walk to the plaka area which is one area not be missed. Indulge yourself and just wander this area you won’t be disappointed!! Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming when we arrived, during our stay and when we left. Room had a wonderful view of the Parthenon which shines differently at night time so if you can it’s worth the upgrade. Room was a great size, very spacious and had one of the best showers we have ever used in a hotel. Very beautiful indeed and made our last night in Athens one to remember. The stand out for this hotel for us was the breakfast which was included in price. Superb selection and one we didn’t want to leave. Served also on their 8th floor which again had morning views of the Acropolis.

Claire

Breakfast was in the rooftop restaurant. The breakfast itself was fabulous but OMG the view: the Parthenon in all its glory! Dinner on the roof was even better: the Parthenon was illuminated. Food was delicious with large servings intended for two. Room was clean, comfortable, well appointed. The entrance to the Acropolis is an easy three minute walk from the hotel. SPOILER ALERT! Stop reading now if you want to be surprised when you visit! The surprise started in the elevator: there was a button labeled 300BC. Pushing that button took me to a sub-basement that is actually an archeological site! You can also view the site from the lobby through a large window in the floor, but I had not looked down when I checked in. In fact, there is a window in the sidewalk before you enter the hotel, but I missed that, too, until the second day.

I think it is one of the best hotels in Athens! All the staff are extremely nice, hospitable and well prepared. Impeccable services, cleanliness, beautiful and modern rooms, the whole hotel is very clean and modern. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, close to all tourist attractions, very close to Plaka, very quiet and beautiful area. The restaurant is a 10+, the food is absolutely delicious, both breakfast and the menu for New Year's Eve! The view from the restaurant is breathtaking! All the restaurant staff are impressive! I recommend both the hotel and the restaurant!

We took a long time to choose a hotel in Athens and settled on Niche's offer. We stayed for a week, the price was quite high, but the room was too small, it lacked space for stuff, it was uncomfortable to sit on the bed, although it was comfy to sleep. Yet the food for breakfast was very fresh, super tasty and of high quality, the hotel staff were always smiling and very pleasant, and I would rate the location very good too. Overall, the hotel doesn't pull up to 10 points, but we left with really good impression.

Located in the heart of town a short walk (15mins) from the top of the Acropolis, 5mins from Parliament and around the corner from everything else, the hotel is perfect for a short stay. It's modern, sleek and the staff go the extra mile with exceptional politeness and a great view of the local area (including the Acropolis!) from the top-floor breakfast/dining area. The food at breakfast was great! With a decent selection of cooked and continental options (try the mountain tea!), and very helpful staff on hand.
